課程概述

This course is an introduction to Continental European literature after 1800. We will study representative works of Romanticism, Realism, Modernism, and Postmodernism. Authors covered in this survey course are Rousseau, Flaubert, Dostoevsky, Proust, Pirandello, and Robbe-Grillet.

 The objective of this course is to familiarize students with major authors and trends in Continental European literature after 1800.
